Gutter Cleaning

Maintaining your gutters and downspouts is important in the overall care of your home. Clogged gutters can overflow leading to damage from excess water, rotting fascia boards, flooding of basements and other problems. Gutter cleaning insures that your gutters and downspouts operate properly and prevent water damage to your home.

Cleaning gutters and downspouts can prevent:

  • Rotting Fascia boards and siding
  • Water infiltration and basement flooding issues
  • Erosion of soil near base of home
  • Efflorescence being formed on interior basement walls
  • Mold and mildew issues in the basement
  • Mold and mildew growth on siding due to water overflow from gutters

We can clean gutters on simple one-story ranch homes, to large multi-story homes with difficult to reach areas.

Our typical process is to blow out the leaves using a leaf blower, then thoroughly rinse the gutters with low-pressure water removing all shingle grit and debris. Then we flush the downspouts and ensure the gutters are flowing properly with no blockages. If underground clogs are present we use sewer jetting equipment, which in most cases will clear the clogs. After cleaning, we rinse your home of any debris and perform a thorough outside cleanup.

Your gutters should be cleaned at least once or twice a year depending on the type and density of trees near your home. Typically, cleanings are in the spring after pollen and seeds have fallen, and in the fall once all the leaves have fallen from the trees. Homes in areas with many trees may need to be cleaned several times a year.

Maintenance programs are available for homes that need regular cleaning. We put your home on our schedule, to come clean your gutters multiple times per year at a reduced cost for each cleaning.
